I have been interested in genealogy for many years, back when I was young I got the stories of how my grandfather and great-grandparents moved from England to Argentina and to Canada. There were a couple of pictures and pieces of information and slowly I put them together. In the 90’s I got a bit more serious and started to look at libraries and the local genealogy society. I did manage to find a bit on the Dennett family line in Canada put together what I could.
The Gayleard side however was always a mystery as the misspelled name proved a bit of a challenge as pieces of information were missing. Over the time I have been contacted by others researching the name Gayleard but I never found a connection. I put down the research and then recently picked it up again. With more and more things coming online it has made it easier to do the research and I hope that it bears further fruit down the road. For those who are doing research along this family line I hope that you find it informative.
“Genealogy is like a detective game, searching for clues until you finally find what you are looking for.”
– Wilfred Gayleard
